  • Simpler format: Designed for schools with less experience or smaller teams

Project Overview

Technical Secondary School “Ivan Sarić” participated in the Erasmus+ KA122-VET project titled “Empowering Serbian Youth by Mastering CNC and PLC Technologies” as part of efforts to modernize vocational training and enhance student employability.

This project focused on providing students from the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments with practical international experience in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) technologies—two of the most in-demand technical skill sets in today’s European industrial landscape.

Destinations of Our Students

Selected students had the opportunity to complete hands-on internships in İstanbul- Türkiye, hosted by two outstanding companies:

  • AB Market Otomasyon (focused on electrical automation and PLC systems)
  • Istanbul Reklam Ürünleri (CNC-driven creative manufacturing and design)

These internships allowed students to learn in real work environments, collaborate with experienced professionals, and better understand how European industries function.

Why It Matters

The project addressed two key challenges:

  1. Bridging the gap between theoretical education and real-world skills
  2. Providing equal opportunities for students from all backgrounds, including those with fewer economic advantages

Through this experience, our students improved not only their technical capabilities but also their language, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in an international setting.

Project Outcomes

  • 20 students completed two-week internships abroad
  • Students received Europass Mobility Documents and certifications
  • We produced a detailed project eBooklet and project video
  • Shared results through our project website, social media, and local news
  • Strengthened partnerships with both Turkish and European VET institutions
